A Week off then on to Michigan International Speedway
After 9 back to back weeks of traveling and racing, the Nationwide series does not race this week giving the team time to relax, regroup and reassess.
Chicagoland proved to be yet another disappointment to Jeremy and the #51 team as the car experienced electrical woes midway through the race. A faulty alternatior wire caused the battery to drain. Going several laps down, the problem was fixed but Jeremy never got back up to where he wanted or needed to be. A disappointing 29th place finsh was the worst this season.
Running a full schedule with a limited budget and most races with only one car, the team has managed to run competitevely and maintain their status of the top 20 in driver’s points (16th as of Chicagoland) and remain in the top 30 in owners points (23rd as of Chicagoland)
As the team heads back to the track next week, the Michigan 250 is the first of 14 back to back races with a new challange for Jeremy as he attempts his first road course race. He is entered in the Bucyrus 200 Saturday June 25th.
