Clements Returns to Victory Lane
By Michelle Petroff, Team Press ReleaseSPARTANBURG, SC (May 6, 2006) – Jeremy Clements drove to a commanding win this weekend at Cherokee Speedway when the Southern Allstars’ East Series came to town. Clements, 21, of nearby Spartanburg has raced a few times in the dirt late model division since being seriously injured in July 2004 but it’s clear that he still knows his way around the Gaffney, NC, track at which he’s previously held championship honors.
Driving a borrowed Rocket Chassis sponsored by M&S Concrete, Walker Concrete, One-Stop Convenience Store and Clements Racing Engines, Clements walked away from all of the competion en route to the $4,000 payday. Hopefully this is a prelude to Jeremy’s next event as he returns to pavement with the ARCA RE/MAX Series next weekend for the “Harley-Davidson of Cincinnati 150” at Kentucky Speedway.
