JEREMY CLEMENTS FINISHES 12TH IN MEIJER 300 KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

Another caution filled race and a tight car proved a challange for the Spartanburg SC driver. Starting the race in a 15th position, he lost momentum on the first pit stop, fought a tight race car and slick tires and ended up in 23rd position and a lap down. On the 3rd caution, he got the Aaron’s Lucky Dog got his lap back and continued to work his way back up, 4 wide at one point, and brought his “04″ Chevy home in 12th place.. It was his second NNS 12th place finish, having done the same in Fontana Ca. last season. It was the first race that ESPN actually recognized his accomplishments. The team is taking the next two weeks off to concentrate on securing sponsorship for the COT that is needed for the July 2, race at Daytona International Speedway. We would like to thank Boudreaux’s Butt Paste, Saxon Group and Coca Cola for their continued NASCAR sponsorship and faith in Jeremy.

Underdog Performer of the Race: Jeremy Clements. I might as well name this section after Clements, who equaled a career-best finish of 12th Saturday night after taking advantage of a mid-race Lucky Dog award. The result, his third consecutive top-20 finish in as many weeks, marked the longest such streak the driver has had in his Nationwide Series career, and also one of the few times he’s actually gotten ESPN’s attention doing it. Considering that the Clements bunch is pulling these results off racing cars that are four yeas old, well, what else needs to be said? -BRIAN DAVIS KEITH – FRONTSTRETCH.COM
